What are the launch mechanisms for plastic molds?

by:Vowin Rapid Prototyping     2023-02-20
After a complete part is formed, it needs to be removed from the plastic mold. This demoulding process requires the help of an ejection mechanism or an ejection mechanism. When pushing out parts, it is necessary to ensure the normal operation of the pushing out structure. Only when the push-out action is smooth and free of obstacles, the final molded parts will be high-quality parts. What are the types and characteristics of the ejection mechanism of the mold?

The starting mechanism is generally composed of starting, resetting and guiding components, and the starting action is completed by the ejector rod or the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder. The design of the start-up structure should ensure that the part remains in the dynamic mold, the mold should be reset correctly, and the integrity of the part should be ensured during start-up without deformation and damage. Generally, it can be divided into manual, motorized, hydraulic, and pneumatic. According to different starting mechanisms to complete the starting action, it can be divided into the following categories

1. The most common and simplest push rod push mechanism has the advantages of small resistance, flexible movement, and convenient replacement. But it is not suitable for drafting small parts with sloped tops. Due to the small pushing area of the push rod and the large stress, it is easy to cause deformation of these parts.
2. The push tube ejection mechanism used to push out cylindrical and ring-shaped parts has uniform thrust, the parts are not easily deformed, and there will be no unnecessary marks on the surface of the parts.

3. It is suitable for pushing out mechanism of thin-walled containers and shell parts, with simple structure and easy processing.
