Flame surface quenching generally uses acetylene and oxygen to ease the combustion and spray the flame onto the surface of the part. After the part is quickly heated to the quenching temperature, it is sprayed with cold water. It is suitable for large and medium-sized steel parts with sufficient hardness and wear resistance and can withstand impact.

First of all, compared with traditional furnace heat treatment, flame surface treatment is faster, but also saves equipment costs. Second, the process fluidity is better, and mold components with large online hardening can be hardened with minimal deformation.
